Bringing ACE Information into Higher Education


Through funding from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Workforce Development Group, worked with a Casey Fellow to complete an environmental scan to capture which institutions of higher education have curricula, courses, or course content which includes information related to ACEs, trauma, and resilience. The scan confirmed the gap in higher education in this content area. The workgroup developed guidance to institutions of higher education on how to incorporate this content into their curricula and piloted a three-hour course at Temple University. The group has prepared a report to inform instructors and curriculum developers on how to build this information into their courses.
